Screencast: HOW to ENABLE the DROPBOX TWO-STEP VERIFICATION

In a recent article, HOW SAFE IS DROPBOX? 4 Reasons to Have Confidence, I mentioned that I was going to implement the two-step verification to enhance the level of my Dropbox security.

The two-step verification is an optional but highly recommended security feature that adds an extra layer of security to your Dropbox account. Once enabled, Dropbox will require a six-digit security code in addition to your password whenever you login to Dropbox or want to link to a new computer, phone, or tablet.

IMPORTANT: Storing your emergency backup code

Before enabling two-step verification, you'll receive a special 16-digit backup code. It is very important that you save this key and store it in a safe place. I use Evernote for things like this. If you ever lose your phone, or can't receive or generate a security code, you'll need this backup code for emergency access to your Dropbox. You'll see this on the video.
